Parts Clerk

Details: Parts Clerk  Shift: 9:00am - 5:30pm for training, then 3:30pm - midnightParts Clerk Responsibilities: Obtain all purchase orders prior to finalizing repair order. Obtain approval from customers/companies prior to writing repair orders, and when additional work is needed for current repairs or when estimates will be exceeded by more than 10% of the total. Provide accurate estimates and wait times. Identify work required and then write detailed description of work required. Maintain organizational control of work in progress and work waiting to be done. Ensure replacement parts are essential for needed repairs. Complete work orders by providing the necessary customer information, job description, labor, parts used, and any other additional notes. Identify and prevent possible warranty situations through consultation of Senior Management and documentation on repair orders. Document all disclaimers on repair orders to avoid warranty claims. Report all unresolved customer complaints to Manager. Ensure completed shop tickets are properly billed and collected after work is performed. Develop communication with customers to identify their needs or concerns, and also to sell additional products and/or services. Order all parts and supplies as directed by the Manager. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts area. Maintain all inventory part levels and inventory dollars as set forth by the Division Manager. Control all aspects of parts and supplies (receiving, pricing, storing, etc.). Responsible for National Account billing and receivables. Ensure total customer satisfaction. Balance and organize shift paperwork in a timely manner. Responsible for your cash register shortages. All other duties as assigned.

Details: Performs various production control activities for pick tickets, including gathering and filing records. Reporting on completion of pick tickets. Orders are sorted/staged by carrier for a prompt and accurate pickup. As needed, pull MTR’s from the MTR database and generate the necessary paperwork for daily shipments to ensure that LTL carriers are dispatched from the Company prior to 6:00 pm. Assist the MTR clerk with pulling records for daily shipments to ensure that all LTL carriers are on dispatched from the Company prior to 6:00 pm. Act as back up for the MTR clerk/MTR administrator. An Alro career provides a dynamic work environment that allows our teammates to learn, grow and succeed in whatever they put their minds to, both personally and professionally.Responsibilities: Filling and preparing customer orders for shipment Operate powered forklift, side-loader and overhead crane to transport materials between loading, processing and storage areas Operating processing machinery, including metal saws and shears Load and unload materials to and from designated storage areas Manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks Sort and store material by designated location and assist with the loading of trucks when necessary Measures completed work piece to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, tape measures or rulers Follow forklift, side-loader, and overhead crane certification requirements for transporting material When handling materials, one must us chocks, strapping, and forklift sleeves (when necessary) to secure material from damage during transport Promote a culture of proactive safety Proactively maintains housekeeping, keeping assigned area and equipment clean of boards, strapping, remnants, and all other debris
