Our Valdese, NC Manufacturing Facility has an immediate opening for an experienced CAD Technician.The Mechanical CAD Drafting Technician will provide mechanical design support for industrialization capital expansion of the Valdese MnO2 Program. This position will operate as part of a multidiscipline team dedicated to develop and qualify large scale manufacturing operation equipment for new cell types based on existing Lithium Manganese chemistry. Overall Responsibilities: Perform non-routine and moderately complex design tasks requiring the operation and application of Computer Aided Design equipment. Work with Process and/or Product Engineer(s) to provide detailed 2D/3D component and assembly design prints for new cell designs. Work with Process and/or Product Engineer(s) to provide detailed 2D/3D equipment components and assemblies. Work with Process and/or Product Engineer(s) to provide facility layout of new and existing equipment. Work with Process and/or Product Engineer(s) to create Bill of Materials (BOM's), spare parts lists and operating instructions for all phases of specified project(s). Procure product and obtain component information and specifications, vendor information and capabilities under direct supervision of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures at all times. Responsible for completing any other duties as they are assigned.
