Bookkeeper ( Part Time )

Details: Job Summary Completes all bookkeeping functions for multiple Western PA Corps.   Maintains and records all Corps business transactions. Inputs income and expense, reconciles multiple accounts and prepares reports.  Follows bookkeeping procedures established by The Salvation Army, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works  under general supervision of Shelby Centralized Accounting Supervisor.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  [Daily] Input all income and expenses into the computer utilizing Shelby Systems. Monitor Cash Balance on each Bank Account and keep Corps Officer informed of balance. [Daily] Print and mail checks. [Bi-Weekly] Input payroll either as a Journal Entry or through the Accounts Payable Module (Kettle Workers Payroll will be inputted weekly). [Daily] Receive and answer calls/emails from corps officers and assist Corps Officers when they come into Divisional Headquarters. Complete all monthly bank reconciliations and other reconciliations as needed (i.e. AP open invoice detail listing). Calculate and input monthly support service, self-denial, and harvest festival. Email month end financial statements to corps officers. [Quarterly] Sales Tax preparation and payments. Year end financial reports preparation. Prepare records for auditor as well as participate in the auditing process as requested by the auditor.   Participate with the Corps Officer in preparing the Corps Budget. Prepare miscellaneous reports as time permits for Corps Officers and supervisor. Perform all other miscellaneous functions as requested.
