Details: We are looking for a knowledgeable and focused individual to complement our growing Accounting team.  Northern Safety Company, a distributor of safety and industrial supplies, is searching for a Sales Tax Accountant as we expand our business.    The primary mission of this position is to manage the sales tax accounting function for all companies and all states and to direct the day to day sales tax accounting functions. The Sales Tax Accountant’s primary duties are to: Review and approve all customer tax exempt certificates. Maintain the customer tax exempt filing system. Run and research month end reports for all states. File sales tax returns. Reconcile sales and use tax liability with general ledger accounts monthly. Oversee the preparation of all states monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns.
