Efficiently sort, handle, and load freight into and unload it from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks. This position routinely uses pallet jacks and forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight including shipments of Hazardous Materials freight.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of safe lifiting technique to load and unload cargo, including heavy, bulky and or cumbersome freight.
  • Ability to secure or re-secure cargo by blocking, bracing, using dunnage and other methods.
  • Experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, to move, load, arrange, rearrange and unload freight.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions given orally or in writing, including those on manifests and other shipping documents
  • Ability to perform work required in a timely manner and maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedules and customer commitments.

This is an individual contributor position that requires experience master scheduling, capacity planning or workforce management planning.

This position will oversee the efficient and effective use of labor resources across GSI's entire FF network (2,000 - 6,000 FTEs). Main responsibilities include the central review, planning and steering of required resources for Full Time, Part Time and Seasonal work force. This position will provide focused leadership of forecasting and scheduling tools providing effective business foresight and staffing alignment to meet business requirements. This position would support up to 6 fulfillment locations (and a higher number of facilities) across North America.

This position reports into the VP Fulfillment/Engineering. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Senior Management Global Operations, Finance and Human Resources.

• Develop and deploy consistent Resource Controlling processes, reports & tools across the FF network

• Actively drive recommendations across FF network for improved Resource utilization

• Ensure all key FF productivity metrics are met on a consistent basis Review KPIs, drive productivity and efficiency across the network through the development and deployment of consistent labor utilization models

• Partner with HR Business Partners / HR Director Labor Operations, Finance and the Site Managers to provide accurate forecasting and labor scheduling to meet business goals and objectives of the business and client base

• Analyze data and trends to identify resource constraints and develop plans to improve for more productive staffing and shift models (mix of PT / FT; Temp v. Perm v. Seasonal); Produce ad hoc and standard reports and analysis as needed

Upon completion of this program, you will be relocated to a Champion Division which you will lead in sales, installation, as well as customer service.As a Division Manager for Champion Window, you will hire employees, drive sales and run the day-to-day business operations. You will also assume responsibility for the business’s profits and losses.
