This is an Entry Level Engineering Opportunity with INTELSAT, leading provider of Satellite Services worldwide. Critical Responsibilities:
- Participate in a team environment in validation of real-time telemetry processing, commanding and flight dynamic application systems, for COTS products. You will participate in critical Systems and Integration Testing effort to make sure proposed systems and designs are compatible with current architecture and can be integrated into the current operational system.
- Produce test procedures that adhere to Intelsat standards and which, when executed, comprehensively validate system interfaces, system performance and basic system functionality.
- Assist in setting up, configuring, installing, and maintaining COTS software required to support satellite operations systems at all locations, including control centers (primary and backup), development labs, integration and test labs, program offices, and Engineers’ homes.
- On-call operations support as part of the rotating Level 1 Operations Support team, in this capacity you will identify and work with other teams to resolve systems software and hardware issues.
Important Responsibilities:
- Work with Information Systems/IT and SOE-SUPPORT to ensure proper coordination and consistency with other ground infrastructure where feasible.
- Research new technologies for improving the satellite operations systems, both hardware and software.

- Developing and nurturing key client relationships on this $3 billion+ mega project.
- Managerial responsibility for project delivery (design and construction oversight) aspects of the project including negotiating extras, cost control, staffing, quality control and cash management, as they relate to the Owner Engineer team.

Senior Network Engineer (941)
Primary Purpose Of The Position
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical optical network infrastructure for the Intelsat|One Managed services. This individual will provide the proficiency necessary to meet the technical objectives of the department as well as to sustain current and future revenue generating products and services. The Senior Engineer will also support the deployment and turn up of new infrastructure required to establish Intelsat Terrestrial Points of Presence (POPs) in addition to maintaining and upgrading the existing POPs. Additionally, this individual will focus on providing last-level support of the Intelsat|One optical backbone in order to meet the high availability numbers.
Critical Responsibilities
- Support all network design related activities pertinent to the optical backbone, including but not limited to providing design related consultation for new infrastructure and customer service.
- Perform continuous maintenance of the Intelsat|One optical core backbone infrastructure which involves design, testing, upgrades and deployment of core infrastructure elements (XDM and DWDM) at the various PoPs and teleports.
- Provide sustaining engineering and last level support for the Intelsat|One network infrastructure (XDM, DWDM, TDM/TDAX, and ATM).
- Participate in a week long regularly scheduled on-call rotation in conjunction with other engineers.
- Focus on maintaining the terrestrial transport access infrastructure (TDAX and ATM) of the Intelsat|One Network to meet the growth requirements.
