With guidance from the supervisor, the successful candidate will have demonstrated skills to design and perform studies in cell therapeutic product development with clarity, efficiency, precision, and a technical proficiency. The candidate must be able to independently plan, schedule and execute multiple tasks and activities across multiple projects simultaneously. Desired relevant experience and knowledge includes, but not limited to, cell and tissue culture, cell isolation/enrichment, genetic modification, assay development to characterize cell populations and products, and assay development to assess activity and/or potency for cell products.
The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to supervise and develop junior staff to strive for excellence in performance. Additional responsibilities include writing internal technical documents, reports, SOPs, work instructions and other documents for GMP production and peer-reviewed manuscripts. The candidate will present results and updates at internal and client project team meetings and external meetings and conferences.
Experience Required: PhD in the Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Hematology, Stem Cell Biology, or related areas and a minimum of 5 years industry laboratory experience.
