Security Engineer

Details: Job Classification: Contract TEKsystems has partnered with a large government integrator in identifying part of a 36 person team at the EMOC (enterprise maintenance operations center) for a program supporting TSA out of their Pentagon City location in DC. This opportunity is supporting the Department of Homeland Security and does require that all candidates be eligible to receive a DHS clearance.The basic roles of the team include monitoring the security of the network, updating and installing antivirus software, intrusion detection, firewall support and engineering analysis and design as well as security audits. Any type of SOP writing experience or helpdesk/desktop support experience is a plus. This is a shift where the primary focus is managing tickets around proxy settings, port settings/access, monitoring IDS tools (sourcefire), and other antivirus/firewall/ids responsibilities. The tickets are managed through a Sharepoint port. 1 year+ experience with changing proxy settings on firewalls (ASA) - 1 year+ experience with changing port access information (IDS/firewall) - Ideally 1 year+ experience with pushing antivirus software patches and managing tickets accordingly.There are 4 shifts on 7a-7p or 7p-7a schedules, either Sunday-Tuesday + every other Wednesday OR every other Wednesday + Thursday-Sunday. Ideal candidates will be flexible for any shift, but not expected to do every shift. Day shift positions are taken according to seniority/performance as they open up (10 or so spots).
