Production Engineer -(Cement/Lime)

Investigate and resolve work-in-process problems.  Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters.  Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.  Recommend new or changes to existing processes.  Organize tracking/reporting of process parameters and analyze results.  Review proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment.  Initiate purchase requisitions for needed materials as necessary.  Assist in operator training for new and/or existing equipment.  Work closely with production and maintenance personnel to avoid excessive downtime.  Coordinate with Purchasing to evaluate vendor capabilities to provide necessary materials.  Promote the plant Safety Program, and work to correct any unsafe areas and/or practices.  Maintain document control for ISO related procedures.
