Details: We are assisting a well-respected client of ours in filling a welding engineering position in the western Detroit suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity specifically for welding engineers with substantial experience working in a manufacturing environment with resistance and/or MIG welding processes.This position involves long-term travel (2-6 weeks at a time) to different company facilities, heading up product launches for individual plants. Strong candidates will have anywhere from 2-25 years of experience, specifically with resistance welding. The engineer must be available and willing to maintain a busy travel schedule for at least 2 years, after which promotion opportunity is available to the corporate office or any preferred plant location. Responsibilities include working with the OEM to understand product specs, communicating needs to suppliers, and working cross-functionally across the plant to prepare the product lines for launch. Our client would consider hiring a recent graduate with internship experience in resistance welding, a welding engineering degree and solid academic performance.

The Solution Architect will assist with the tuning and optimization of the new Exchange environment and may be involved in migration activities as well as providing high-level support for problem resolution. Develop and implement an Exchange and file system archive strategy to facilitate collection and preservation of documents in response to litigation hold requests.. Background .The Judicial Branch Exchange system has approximately 6,000 active accounts consisting of about 4,500 end user accounts and 1,500 generic and service accounts. Two Cisco IronPort appliances provide anti-malware and anti-spam filtering for the system. The Judicial Branch is in the process of migrating to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003 SP2 and expects to complete the migration within the next three to six months. The new Exchange environment will be comprised of four Exchange nodes hosted on VMware virtual servers, with two nodes in our primary data center in East Hartford and two nodes at our Alternate Processing Center (APC) in Waterbury. The storage will be hosted on an EMC VNX 5700 SAN in our primary data center and on an EMC NS-480 SAN in our APC. By design, the Exchange environment at the APC will be available in case of a data center disaster or to sustain Exchange availability during maintenance activities at the primary data center. The Judicial Branch Active Directory environment is based on Microsoft Windows Server 2008-R2 and consists of five directory forests. Three of the forests are internal to the Judicial Branch and contain accounts for Branch employees as well as directories for resources such as conference rooms. One of the two external forests contain accounts for employees of other branches of state government and resources shared between Judicial and other branches. The other external forest contains resources available from the Internet. In total, there are between 7,500 and 8,000 accounts across all the Active Directory forests maintained by the Judicial Branch. . RESPONSIBILITIES:. Monitor the health and performance of the Exchange system and all its components and interfaces. Take preventive or corrective action as needed to maintain system availability and performance standards. Maintain the Global Address List (GAL). Create, manage and delete Exchange accounts, distribution lists and resources.
