SHOP SERVICE TECHNICIAN - BAKERSFIELD, CA

Details: Job Description:Successful candidates will be dependable, with strong problem solving skills and an excellent safety record. We require a high school graduate or equivalent with secondary mechanical education or training. Experience with mechanical repair, trouble shooting and servicing of cranes preferred. Other job requirements include work order documentation, good communication and organization skills. Experience with computers is a plus. Job Responsibilities:Individuals must have the skills and experience to perform repairs and maintenance to equipment. Able to perform and complete equipment maintenance and repairs with limited or no supervision. Perform pre and post rental inspections. Assist with new unit deliveries and installations. Remove and replace basic machine components including starter, alternators, water pumps, light fixtures, machine batteries. Remove and repair basic machine component such as small hydraulic cylinders and pumps. Remove and replace large machine components such as boom components/sections, hoists, large cylinders, engines, transmissions, and torque converters. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Service Manager.   Technical Skills: Must have adequate knowledge of equipment to be able to perform the following: Diagnostics of hydraulic, electrical, and air system principals Set up and configuration of machine components including crane computers. Understand hydraulic and electric schematics Functional ability to read and understand manufacturer manuals and diagrams Identify and look up parts required for repairs

Crane Operator

Details: NEW CASTLE BUILDING PRODUCTSNew York Metro area building supply distributor is seeking an experienced, full time NCCCO certified crane operator for our Hicksville, NY facility.  Valid NYS and NYC crane licenses are required. Valid Class A driver license required. This position includes a competitive wage rate along with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, pension and annuity benefits. Duties and responsibilities include the following: Operate boom crane to lift and move building materials from ground storage areas and trucks to top of building. Move levers, depress foot pedals, or turn dials to operate cranes or other moving equipment for lifting, moving, or placing loads. Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage. Inspect cables or grappling devices for wear and install or replace cables, as needed. Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload. Clean, lubricate, and maintain mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, or grappling devices, making repairs as necessary.  Load or unload bundles from trucks using forklift equipment. Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment. Frequent lifting and moving of material up to 75 pounds.

Has the ability to put drawing packages together and design without assistance.
