Senior Software Distribution Technician

Job Description: The Sr. Software Distribution Technician provides application monitoring, report creation activities, and low-complexity analysis using DB2/SQL queries, Linux, Java, VB, .NET and J2EE technologies. The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will work primarily in the Operations Portfolio Production Support (OPPS) group with Mail Innovations, this person may be required to provide assistance on deployments when needed. OPPS is responsible for monitoring, reporting, and resolving issues 24x7. This position may also support other team members install, facilitate, and coordinate the configuration/shakeout of all types of field applications. Further responsibilities may include performing system integration through installation validation testing of application software. The selected Sr. Software Distribution Technician receives direction from senior or lead Production Support Team members, Manager or Senior Manager. Requires light supervision for low to moderate complex projects. On-call, on-site night/weekend support is required based on business need and often on short notice. Skills & Experience: This position requires 2-4 years of experience with coding, testing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications in multi-tier environments. The successful candidate must have a firm understanding of the system development lifecycle (ALM), support practices, testing methodologies as well as excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Details: Part Time Package Handlers Package Handlers Summary: UPS is hiring individuals to work as part-time Package Handlers. This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering and sliding packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Part-time employees usually work 3 1/2 - 4 hours each weekday (Monday through Friday) and typically do not work on weekends or selected holidays. Please note that these opportunities are part-time only working approximately 17 1/2 – 20 hours per week.

Details: UPS is hiring individuals to work as full-time, temporary, seasonal Package Delivery Drivers. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. A DOT physical exam is required. Package Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills, including the ability to operate a vehicle equipped with a standard (manual) transmission. Assistant Service Center Manager - UPS Freight

Details: Job Summary The Assistant Center Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of UPS Freight Service Centers. He/she analyzes operational data to understand productivity, service, and quality targets. This position collaborates with the service center management team to develop action plans and improve service level results. This individual also collaborates with Service Center Managers and Sales Representatives to understand customer requirements and expectations and provide operational expertise. The Assistant Center Manager manages supervisors within the department. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage freight service center operations and financial results. In doing this, the Assistant Center Manager reviews the projected performance plan to verify that the correct number of drivers and routes are allocated, and compares planned versus actual performance reports to identify best practices, root causes for service failures, and operational adjustments. He/she assesses revenue recovery, reweigh, and freight classification reports to verify the accuracy of customer invoices, and analyzes operating statements and workers compensation reports to track expenses and profit and loss numbers. This position also coordinates service center compliance activities. Duties include designing audit checklists to be used during business process and regulatory compliance reviews, conducting the reviews, and working with Service Center Managers to analyze review results, identify inconsistencies, and develop action plans. Managing and developing others is a core focus of this position. The Assistant Center Manager must manage resources and ensure the day-to-day administration of processes and procedures, identify individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities, and make sure that direct and indirect reports have documented career goals and detailed plans for achieving these goals. He/she also conducts frequent, consistent and objective performance evaluations, resolves individual and group performance issues, fosters teamwork and encourages continuous performance improvement.
