Education Supervisor

Details: Devereux Massachusetts is located on 100 beautifully wooded acres in Rutland, MA. Our rural setting provides an expansive area for outdoor, therapeutic Adventure-Based Counseling, a National mini-bike program, hiking, and a variety of sports activities. Our residential treatment campus serves approximately 100 children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and psychological disorders. In addition to residential services we offer a full continuum of care including a day school, community-based group homes, diagnostic services, and therapeutic foster care services. All programs are designed to meet the individual needs of each client. As an Education Specialist your responsibilities will include supervising staff, running shifts, assisting the Program Manager with development of programming for the school, attending Treatment Reviews as part of the milieu team.  You will have opportunities to interact directly with clients as well as staff.The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7.30AM - 3.30PMKey words: supervisor, residential treatment While the pace can be hectic some times, the environment is rewarding, as all staff members work as a team to promote the well being of the children and adolescents we serve.

Completes report cards according to set schedule. Maintains a safe, clean, and neat classroom environment, recognizes potential risks and threats to safety within the therapeutic classroom environment.  Demonstrates and ability to engage direct care staff in classroom activities and classroom management.  Structures and manages the classroom environment to promote safety and productivity.
