The Boston office has an immediate opening for a Structural/Bridge Engineer (ES2) with 8-10 yrs. experience. This candidate will be responsible for supervision as well as performance of structural design, rehabilitation, and inspection of bridges and tunnels along with the preparation of load ratings, construction documents, specifications, and estimates, construction inspection, report writing and attending client meetings. In addition, other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Assignments may occasionally involve travel within the continental United States. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from an accredited engineering curriculum (MSCE desired) PE License (or ability to obtain one) Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Computer Skills Required:  MS Office, Structural Analysis and Design Software (GT STRUDL, STAAD Pro, etc.), MathCad, VIRTIS(desired), MassDOT 4D (desired), and AUTOCAD Software No relocation assistance  Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MassDOT Projects Completion of NHI Course - Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Completion of NHI Course – Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges AASHTO LRFD experience Local candidates   The preferred candidate will have a strong structural engineering background, knowledge of AutoCAD, and documented experience with independent supervision of teams of engineers. Individuals should be competent in providing sound technical guidance to staff in order to execute the required project tasks effectively. We are looking for a team oriented engineer with strong communication skills. Experience in Massachusetts with bridge engineering and/or bridge inspection projects is desired. .
