Project Lead (Audio/Video)

Details: Volt has an immediate need for a Project Lead.This person will serve as the leader of a team of technical contributors including architects, engineers, construction managers, Aerospace technical staff, facilities maintenance, procurement, safety, security, facilities services as well as local building / planning agencies, contractors and vendors. He will identify issues, prioritize tasks, facilitate communications and act as spokesperson for the project team to management and the customer.The project leader will assist in the day-to-day interface with corporate personnel in the development of scope requirements and in the acquisition of technical support for the projects. He will be required to develop budgets and monitor them through project completion. He will coordinate their work with facilities design and engineering personnel from design inception through construction completion.Position will have emphasis in audio visual / media type construction projects. Candidate will be expected to have experience in audio visual / media projects with emphasis in conference room, auditorium and classroom type environmentsDuties shall include the following:1. Tracking facilities projects using project management software and SAP financial reports. He will oversee building projects and personnel, analyze change order requests, troubleshoot field problems/questions, investigate problems and complaints and resolve matters, identify potential problems and recommend solutions, maintain detailed cost summary reports and ensure that project timelines and budgets are met.2. Oversight of contractors, perform site visits to monitor progress and quality of work performed by contractors, vendors, and consultants, developing and controlling project budgets, managing project documentation, and coordination of contractors with personnel.3. Provide management with up to date status on assigned projects to include project budgets, costs and schedules.4. Assist facilities architects and engineers during the design process with critical review of drawings and scopes of work.5. Administrative responsibilities including managing project meeting minutes, maintaining organized project documents and files, chairing kick-off as well as weekly construction coordination meetings, familiarity with the RFI, shop drawing review, submittal and change order review process, being able to provide detailed cost estimates of new and retrofit type installations, reviewing contractor's schedule, logistics plans, contractor's safety plan and quality control plan.6. Review and approve contractor schedules of values, payment applications and vendor invoices.7. Coordinate project close-out which includes the assembling and review of as-built drawings and specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties and other close-out documentation to assure completion of work per the project requirements. Assist in the development and management of the Contractor punch list.8. Provide technical advice and assistance and assures compliance with California Building Code, which includes overseeing the process of obtaining building permits and inspections.9. Supervise contractors, manage architects and engineers, perform inspections during construction and write reports, develop and control project budgets, assure coordination of efforts between contractors and personnel and manage construction program documentation.10. Prepare detailed construction scopes of work, assist Procurement personnel in contractor pre-bid job walks and the preparation of purchase requisitions. Considerable knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration is required.

Project Coordinator/Specialist (Energy/Industrial)

Supports the Site supervisor to ensure the proper and timely activities.• Provide project site planning activities to optimize schedule performance and minimize cost, leveraging reporting processes, procedures, scorecards and content.• Provide preliminary project assessment and workscope development support when required in assistance of Commercial Team.• Develop project requirements and timelines, communicate proposed plans, gain approval from management and sites; track and communicate milestone maps, track and ensure deliverable requirements are achieved, and ensure contractual obligations are communicated, tracked, managed and met.• Create, update and communicate status updates for projects assigned. Cyber Security Project Engineer

Details: Group:  MCIS Clearance Level Needed:  TS/SCI Shift:  Day The Project Engineer will provide assistance to cyber security projects. The Cyber Security Project Engineers will have multiple projects they support and administer and will work closely with customer personnel and Staff management to ensure all program and project milestones are met following all approved processes and procedures with appropriate levels of documentation. Each project will need its own Project Management Plan and Project-Level Schedule to be folded into and tracked by the customers Master Schedule. The Project Engineer will oversee and assist the responsible engineer in maintaining the Project Management Plan and Project-Level Schedule, which feed into the overarching customer Program Management Plan and the customer Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) during the period of performance for each project. The Project Engineer shall oversee and assist in coordinating (internally and externally) all activities related to engineering activities in order to successfully completed project activities within a reasonable amount of time. The Project Engineer will also communicate and present project status to a variety of audiences and forums as required.
