Production Group Leader

The description/requirements are as follows:   Associates degree or equivalent experience; BA a plus Proven leadership skills with experience in performance management. Minimum 4 - 6 years supervisory experience preferably in a unionized automotive manufacturing environment. Maintains quality, productivity, cost, safety and employee morale. Maintains inventory levels. Experience in a JIT & lean manufacturing environment. Ensures hourly employees follow all policies and procedures. Manages department performance, & provides regular progressreports. Requires working knowledge of Kanban systems, Kaizen, and TS16949 Maintains records for employee attendance & discipline. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Recommends improvements in production methods, operating & working conditions.
