Construction Manager

Details: Scoping EngineerIndianapolis, IN3 months to hireGeneral:•The scoping engineer is responsible for defining a Scope of Work (SOW), creating a Bill of Materials (BOM) and developing the associated Customer Quotation required for the construction of a wireless site. The Scoping Engineer will have relevant experience in wireless technology and telecommunications with emphasis on site design including acquisition, construction, RF, cabinet builds and power. •The position will act as a key interface to site acquisition, construction and project teams, customers, supply chain and general contractors. This is a critical, fast paced role in a dynamic environment that contributes significantly to the execution of the business/revenue plan and impacts the quality and timeliness of wireless deployment and construction processes as well as service launch. Responsibilities:•Works with the operations teams to understand site specific characteristics and schedule requirements for build plans •Analyzes drawings, site surveys, photos, RF information, schedules, etc. to determine materials and services needed to construct site as specified by the customer •Develops RFDS Plumbing Diagram and appropriate documentation based on customer provided RF design documents when requested •Develops and submits detailed quotes associated with SOWs and is accountable for scope and quote accuracy and timeliness •Executes on change management throughout the life of the project including true up requirements for scoped services and materials •Applies industry knowledge and experience to resolve issues as needed •Actively participates in planning and status meetings as required.Qualifications:•BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience •2+ years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications'''' industry or related/similar field •Good understanding of engineering concepts •Aptitude and desire to learn and advance in a technical field •Working knowledge of UMTS and/or LTE as well as Site Acquisition preferred •Proficiency in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access •Working knowledge of industry standard materials •Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment •Solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to establish relationships internally. •Team player who is also independent, reliable, and thorough.      #CBRose#

Marine Civil Engineer (Permanent)

Details: Client - Offshore Consultancy focusing on Transporation, Construction, and Surveying / Logistics located in Houston, TX.Role - The successful candidate will primarily work in the marine casualties department, carrying out investigations of damages to maritime structures and cargo handling equipment, providing advice regarding repair options and costs, and giving other technical advice and support as necessary to assist our clients in handling and settling the resulting insurance claims.He / she will also assist our marine warranty survey group, carrying out third party due diligence on the design, planning and execution of marine transportation and construction operations for the installation or removal of offshore oil and gas platforms and subsea facilities.He / she will be degree qualified and have experience in the design and construction of ports and harbors or other maritime facilities. PE status is considered advantageous but not essential.The position will involve a mix of office based studies, reviews and engineering work, together with a requirement for short term regional and worldwide travel, often at short notice, to carry out on-site attendances and investigations. From time to time, working over weekends and public holidays will also be necessary.
