Systems Engineering & Validation is looking for an expert in rotor component and rotor assembly balancing operations. Job function requirements include reviewing and participating in new and existing designs to ensure compatibility of balance specifications and engine vibration requirements with existing state-of-the-art production processes. Provide expert guidance to process engineers, tool designers, and equipment engineers by developing the company's procedural standards for the design and implementation of robust, effective, balancing processes. Apply engineering dynamics principles and knowledge of production processes to optimize efficiency (cost/quality/speed) of balancing operations. Ensure balancing equipment and tooling is compatible with technical specifications and champion the introduction of new equipment as necessary through the capital procurement process for new and existing balancing operations. Apply a combined scientific and data-driven approach to drive beneficial change at all levels. The business impact of this role is significant. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the certification process for rotor balance, and will be required to develop and implement plans for first time yield balance processes and reduction of corrective balance operations at engine test.
