Teller

Details: Base Pay:  10.25- 11.00 Responsible for handling deposits, check cashing, money orders, Official checks, traveler's checks, and saving bonds. Interpret customer needs and suggest appropriate bank services.  Make referrals to sales staff to assist the branch in meeting its sales goals.

Consumer Lending Inside Sales Representative

Details: Base Pay:  $35,000 base + incentive Responsible for supporting the Consumer lines of business in growing Commerce Bank’s loan portfolio through the sale of loan products. This prospecting support includes the receipt of quality leads via Enact collected through direct mail campaigns and internet applications. Conducts outbound calling efforts to identify prospects and will sell all Consumer Lending products. May use alternative methods such as online chat to assist customers with their loan decisions.  Recommends solutions to customers based upon needs identified during their interactions.  Identifies and sells other Commerce Bank retail products and/or services that may fit the customer’s needs.

Sr. Mortgage Loan Underwriter

Details: Exempt/Non Exempt:  Exempt Regular/Temporary:  Regular Shift:  Day Work Schedule:  M-F, 8-5 Underwrites conventional first, 2nd and HELOC trust deed residential mortgage loan requests. Utilizes underwriting guidelines based on existing Bank mortgage credit policy and/or the standard secondary market guidelines. Provides assistance to the underwriting and processing staff. Works with loan representatives to troubleshoot problems and offer clarification on complex issues. Assists branch staff with issues relating to mortgage credit guidelines. Acts as technical resource for mortgage loan criteria in the secondary market.• *Bachelor’s degree required.• *Minimum 7 years experience as an Underwriter in a financial services or mortgage banking environment required.• *Minimum 3 years experience in jumbo underwriting to investor guidelines required.• Complete knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines. • General knowledge and exposure to funding and loan documentation is helpful but not required. • Strong knowledge of state and federal lending regulations (i.e., Respa, Reg Z, Reg B, ECOA, state fair lending). • Working knowledge of personal computers, including experience with Microsoft • Word/Excel and Outlook as well as some form of industry standard mortgage software.• Ability to use and operate adding machine and financial calculator, copy machines and similar standard office equipment.• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. • Strong time management skills to plan and organize a high daily loan volume. • Strong ability to be very detail oriented. • Must be a team player and work constructively with their fellow colleagues.*Represents basic qualifications for the position. Residential Loan Consultant II

Details: Exempt/Non Exempt:  Non-Exempt Regular/Temporary:  Regular Shift:  Day Work Schedule:  M-F, 8-5 This position is responsible for referral-based sales of first mortgage and concurrent second loan products to existing and potential private banking and high net worth clients. By partnering with CNB’s Relationship Managers, the position will support business development activities of line units and develop sales strategies to attract, retain and expand CNB client relationships through the sale of mortgage loan products and services. Conduct client/prospect needs analysis and develop proposed solutions/sales presentations to meet their needs. Maintain current knowledge of all first mortgage and concurrent second loan products and services offered. Must be in good standing under “The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008” (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the “Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry”; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act.Services the mortgage needs of Private Banking clients whose lending needs can result in moderate to complex transactions. This individual may accompany a senior lender on business development calls and participate as a member of a lending team. Loans are generally super-jumbo in size. The position focuses on the following areas: credit structuring and analysis, assisting Relationship Managers in cross- selling first mortgages and/or establishing new relationships. Prepares and sends out all pertinent regulatory compliance disclosures for single family 1-4 properties. Works in a team environment gathering outstanding conditions and upon receipt performs analysis and prepares files for closing documents. Provides support to the Residential Lending Officer, underwriting and documentation and closing departments. Assists supervisor and underwriting area in pipeline planning. • *Minimum 3 years of loan processing experience in a mortgage banking company or related financial institution required. • *Minimum 3 years of experience working with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines required. • *Minimum 3 years of experience of state and federal lending regulations (e.g. Respa, Reg Z, Ecoa, State Fair Lending) required. • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Bank personnel, customers, and outside agencies in both verbal\written form. • Computer literate with experience using, Word and industry standard mortgage software, preferably InterLink E3. • Ability to work under deadlines. • Good organization and planning skills. • Ability to pay close attention to detail.*Represents basic qualifications for the position. Mortgage Loan Funder II

Details: Exempt/Non Exempt:  Non-Exempt Regular/Temporary:  Regular Shift:  Day Work Schedule:  M-F, 8-5 Prepares and reviews all closing documentation for conventional, single family 1-4 residential mortgage loans. Prepares the funding package and coordinates the timing of the loan funding request. Reviews loan documents and conditions of approval for comments, content and accuracy. Reviews interest rate lock requests for product and program information. Prepared collateral package using the InterLink E3 software system. Verifies that conditions have been approved by the appropriate party. Maintains familiarity with residential mortgage documents. Works directly with processing, underwriting, loan officers, settlement agents, title, Loan center & Loan support areas. • *Minimum 3 years of loan funding experience in a mortgage banking company and/or financial institution required. • *Minimum 3 years of experience working with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines required. • *Minimum 3 years of experience with state and federal lending regulations (e.g. Respa, Reg Z, Ecoa, State Fair Lending) required.• Strong knowledge of California mortgage loan documentation. • Prior work experience in a documentation department preferred. • General experience in loan shipping to secondary investors and knowledge of state and federal regulations.• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of CNB personnel, customers, and outside agencies. • Verbal/written communication skills sufficient to review and complete loan documentation. • Ability to apply basic math skills. • Proficient computer skills with experience using Word, and some type mortgage software program (Interlink E3 preferred). • Very good analytical skills are beneficial. • Ability to pay close attention to detail, and work under deadlines.*Represents basic qualifications for the position.
