Details: Accounting ConsultantRole Description Primary Purpose:Work in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment. Provide accounting and financial management consulting services to Corporate F.A.C.T.S. clients. Consulting services include accounting and management support to non-profit organizations, construction accounting for real estate projects and financial analysis of non-profit firms. Manage multiple client relationships and projects. Work cohesively in a team environment to support senior level consultants. Key Accountabilities: Deliver accounting services to one or more organizations, non-profit or for-profit. Perform month-end closing activities, including review of general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy, balance sheet account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, etc. Process financial transactions including accounts payable, receivables and payroll. Prepare grant reports as required. Create financial management reports including balance sheet, profit and loss, budget-to-actual variance and cash flow forecasts. Provide support for annual audit. Provide support to Financial Management consultants for accounting clients and financial management consulting engagements with government agencies and non-profit agencies. Establish and maintain solid relationships with clients. Keep abreast of industry trends, financial standards, ratios and other indicators. Serve as a key member of Corporate FACTS consultant team participating in the growth and development of the Company. Qualifications: A successful candidate will have the following expertise and experience: • One or more years experience working in the accounting field performing accounts payable, receivables, payroll and general ledger management functions.• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles particularly in the non-profit industry.• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple client engagements or projects.• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.• Strong attention to detail.• QuickBooks experience preferred. Proficient with the various program guidelines and investor requirements. Issue funding wires in correct amount. Alert Loan Officers/Processors of outstanding funding conditions.
