Assist production management in coordinating process activities to assure efficient, timely and smooth operations.       Prepare daily work schedules in assigned manufacturing area and assign personnel to jobs.  Provide immediate supervision or assign tasks to a unit or group of employees. May provide general or direct supervision to skilled non-exempt employees. A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks.   Take necessary actions to ensure that all processing operations are performed in accordance with cGMPs and company safety standards.   Oversee training of employees; inform and train operators on new or revised manufacturing methods and equipment. Maintain a level of compliance of overall training program. Prepare maintenance work orders, purchase requisitions and shipping orders as required. Prepare, update and maintain department SOP’s to assure compliance with cGMP’s and other State, Federal and Company Rules and Regulations. Supervise all processing steps in secondary packaging, visual inspection and labeling areas to ensure SOP’s and Batch Records are being followed.   Take lead in Packaging driven investigations; gather facts, identify root cause, recommend corrective actions and track improvements. Assist site management in all startup activities associated with new and/or modified areas within the Production Department up to but not limited to commissioning and qualification activities.   Perform other duties as assigned. •         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education and work related experience. •         Minimum five (5) years of pharmaceutical industry or related experience. •         Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience •         Demonstrated effective communicating and interpersonal skills. •         Previous experience working with product inspection systems, labeling and packaging operations preferred. •         Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software platform (i.e. Excel, Word.
