Summary: The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is a technical leader providing oversight and delivery of technical projects. The BI Architect s role is to set the high-level technical direction for the design, architecture and ongoing evolution of Advantage Resourcing s enterprise Business Intelligence.Responsibilities: The BI Architect envisions and creates solutions that meet the requirements of the business, models the required infrastructure and points of integration, creates data models and database designs, and provides the overall blueprint/roadmap for delivering the solution. The BI Architect also creates any design documentation required for development, and works collaboratively with the BI Developer(s) to build the required components. The BI Architect is also a developer and performs many of the same duties on a daily basis. Additionally, the BI Architect works with the IT infrastructure and applications teams to prove the feasibility of designs and ensure that solutions are designed for optimal access and leverage existing technologies where possible, and to identify any system-wide impacts that may need to be addressed. Participate in all phases of SDLC: from system analysis and design thru development and test to deployment and support. Participate in designing and developing software systems by writing Design Specifications description of framework, interfaces, services, and business components, interaction between the components. Develop OLAP structures, reports, complex queries, dashboards and ad hoc reports Develop and unit test the framework and business components of a system and ensure seamless integration with other sub systems. Be able to troubleshoot any complex issues. Keep abreast of the current technologies and technological trends.
