The Electrical and Controls Engineer is responsible for electrical and controls design, instrumentation, system design, component selection, component programming, layouts and  documentation. Responsible for field evaluation, system integration, testing, and product start-up. Specific duties include: Designing electrical power distribution, control data acquisition and communication systems. Develop new product designs and supporting manufacturing documents. Select and program PLC's, HMI's other programmable relays and components. Perform start-up, system integration, testing and troubleshooting of production equipment and prototypes in-house and in the field. Interpret and apply electrical codes. Update O&M manuals, design manuals, engineering specifications, and technical documents. Write testing protocols. Improve existing electrical controls and components. Support and assist other departments with costing, specifications, drawings, application, etc.
