Troubleshoot, communicate and resolve the Customer’s electrical, instrumentation and automation problems.§  Develop a good interface with all levels (mill manager, process engineers, maintenance groups and operators).§  Responsible to implement new strategies together with Customer.§  Loop tuning of the Process Control System to obtain a better result.§  Implement logic changes to improve the operating efficiency of the Plant.§  Apply and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives.§  Create clear and concise documentation of modifications to the Plant systems.§  Collect data and information from the mill: trends, process displays, and operators. Get feedback and verify that controls are continuously delivering results; measure benefits every month.§  Data historian management and execution of ad-hoc requests for points addition and data pulls, §  Data historian client installation, basic training for end users, automated reports and automated emails §  Provide technical design consultation for upcoming/developing projects.§  Assist in preparation of project capital cost estimates and AFEs.§  Prepare monthly report (projects situation, results, pending issues, etc.).

Automation Technician - Injection Molding

Details: Our client is an established manufacturer of plastic injection molded products, expanding their business in the dynamic Medical Device industry. Due to expansion, we are recruiting for Automation Technicians for their Injection Molding operation in Tucson. The Automation Technician is responsible for the set-up, start-up, change-over, qualityinspections and basic maintenance associated with automated rotary insert molding cells.Responsibilities: Perform mold set-up, start-up, troubleshooting, repair and approval of production runs using company quality standards. Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure the production of a quality product. Monitor molding parameters using approved techniques such as SPC/SQC, to ensure conformance to quality guidelines and standard cycles. Inspect and measure production per quality requirements to ensure all customer specifications are adhered to. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and routine repairs on automation equipment. Align and teach robot positions Initiate work orders to correct problems with molds, molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Perform record keeping. This includes, but may not be limited to, cavitation levels, downtime reasons, machine logs, quality logs, process changes, tool issues, etc. Ability to interact with molding supervisor, in-process inspectors, quality technicians and peers to accomplish primary objectives. Ability to work, at times, with machine maintenance and testing personnel to resolve problems or improve processes. Comprehend and work with material handling systems.
